My mother’s maternal line. Thomas Hunt was born in Redmarley d’Abitot, Worcestershire in 1793, the first of a long line of Hunts and descendants who all named their homes Redmarley. He was a cordwainer (shoemaker) and his wife Nancy (or Ann) Welding/Weldin/Wilding/ was a Governess who is believed to have been the first of a long line of teachers and educationalists.
Their son Edwin Hunt, a headmaster, married Welshwoman Margaret Morgan, yet another teacher. Her grandparents are believed to have been unrelated Llewellyns.
